Look at my spider example above. What am I really afraid of with spiders? The thing is, I have this fear that they will leap at me and attack me ok, now that I've written that, I see how silly it really is! They are small creatures who are probably more afraid of me than I could ever be of them. But, the fear I have of them is in my own mind. Spiders will not leap at me and hopefully, now that I realize that, my fear will vanish!
Chances are, when you are about to try something new, you will experience fear. You can always choose to walk through your fear. You can face the fear and do it anyway. And really, that is the only way to banish it take it by the horns and show it whose boss! What is fear holding you back from doing? Do you want to start a business? Change jobs? What are you afraid of if you attempt those things?
Today, take one small step to overcome that fear. Don't hesitate to start small. as it applies to our communication with others

Witnessing and Sharing
In this article, I'd like to share my thoughts on what I believe to be the two most important components of effective communication. These attributes, witnessing and sharing, are also crucial elements in our understanding of ourselves in our relationship to the world around us. We'll discuss them in sequence.
Witnessing
Witnessing, as it applies to our communication with others, means bringing awareness to our inner state, our sensations and our thoughts. In previous articles, I've described the position we take in witnessing as one of "being backstage." We notice our thoughts and feelings, but we don't identify with them. We recognize them for what they are, but we don't judge them. We apply the formula of awareness plus equanimity, or acceptance.
In the case of monitoring our interactive presence, it means noticing when we're not being appropriately attentive and noticing what it is that's drawing our attention away. It could be a random, unrelated thought. It could be a judgment of ourselves or of the other person. It could be a sensation in our body that's distracting us.
Regardless of what it is, we momentarily allow ourselves to withdraw attention from the other person and from within our current thought stream in order to stand on the river bank and see what's flowing by. We stop thinking what we were thinking and start noticing what we were thinking. We become curious scientists, studying the workings of our unruly minds. Then, having discovered the pattern of our thoughts and sensations as a result of witnessing, we proceed to the second tool, which is sharing.
Sharing
By sharing, I mean that we literally expose what we've just discovered about our present experience and, then, we either recommit to bringing back our attention, resolve whatever the issue is that's caused the distraction, or we extricate ourselves from the conversation until we're in a position to become more present.
Here are a few examples of what I'm saying:
"You know, let me stop you for a moment. I just noticed my mind wandering,no purpose. I was thinking about this fishing trip I planned, and I was having trouble keeping my attention on what you were saying. Would you mind repeating it? I'll be more attentive this time. Sorry."
"Hey, before you go on, I have to admit that my mind got caught up with an earlier point you made, and I started getting silently argumentative. It's possible that I completely misunderstood what you were saying, but I don't want to stay caught in silent judgment. So could we revisit that point?"
"I don't want to be rude, but for some reason this conversation is pushing my buttons, and I'm getting caught in my head. I don't feel like I'm being fair to you because I want to be really present and open, but right now I don't feel like I can do that. Let me take a couple hours to wind down and figure out what I need to say, and then we can revisit this topic. How's eleven o'clock, back here?"
Nothing of value is as poorly taught in our society as the art of sharing. This is ironic because we are naturally drawn to those who do it well. We have so many negative,3352 Ugg Bailey Button Mini Chestnut Boots, fear-based messages floating around in our heads about keeping our problems to ourselves that the notion of sharing automatically evokes a level of defensiveness in almost everyone with whom it's discussed. We flee from showing our vulnerability. We blanch at admitting our errors, and we become apoplectic at the thought of exposing our pain.
What a profound irony! Because it is the very act of sharing honestly that makes us most admirable to others. People would far prefer an imperfect individual who admits his imperfections over a person whose actions seem well-executed, but who is unlikely to expose any of his foibles. With regard to our pain,becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy. And what's the point of worrying about money, it is helpful to remember the saying:
"When we share our pain, we become more truly human."
With regard to our errors, admission usually brings about far more admiration for our honesty than disdain for our mistakes. With regard to our vulnerability, nothing so quickly mobilizes the compassion of others as the admission of our emotional fragility. Such an admission is not a self-condemnation. We're not saying that we're fundamentally flawed, only that we're currently tender and sensitive. These are feelings to which everyone can relate, and if we communicate them clearly and properly, we'll evoke from others an instant shift into careful, loving presence.
There are a few important rules to keep in mind when sharing your reality at a deep level.
1. Take complete responsibility for your thoughts and feelings. If you imply in any way that the other person is responsible, you'll evoke defensiveness not empathy.
2. Remove any self-deprecation from your communication. Whatever you feel is normal and OK. You needn't apologize for feelings.
3. Be as specific as you can about what you're feeling or thinking and about whatever evoked it.
4. Admit the exact nature of your mistakes. People will much more readily admit theirs if you admit yours first.
5. State your intentions. People tend to receive communication much more willingly when they know what you're trying to accomplish by sending it.
Using those rules, a helpful share might look something like this:
"I'm feeling nervous." (Saying "I'm feeling" and not "You're making me feel" keeps the responsibility on you.)
"So I wanted to share it with you." (No apology for feelings)
"My gut started to tighten when you brought up our trip." (What you feel specifically, and what specifically evoked it)
"I should have brought it up sooner, so I could have been more attentive." (Admitting the exact nature of your mistake)
"I really want to talk about what part of this is making me nervous,now do you remember the movies in the mind, so we can both be excited about the trip." (Stating your intention for resolution)
By applying the tools of witnessing and sharing, we bring greater consciousness to our relationships and maximize the likelihood that we'll be received with love and appreciation, rather than resentment and defensiveness. We also give the greatest gift possible to those with whom we interact on a daily basis; the gift of honesty. As we grow in the attributes of courage and compassion which such honesty requires, we also inspire others to do the same. The result is that we succeed in surrounding ourselves with the energy of respect, safety, and understanding.

The most critical attribute for realizing our dreams is integrity. In a conversation about dreams, integrity is essential and can be summarized this way: Say what you mean and mean what you say. Honor your word and agreements and you will be living with integrity, where dreams really do come true.
Simple, yes, but not always easy. Vastly overscheduled, often the person it's most difficult to keep our commitments with, is yourself. As you practice upholding your values,make the decisions now you need to make, you are given opportunities to show up or to sell out. When you are challenged, do you lose sight of what matters to you? Do you have an internal pulse, a set of conscious principles that you live your life by?
If you are committed to a life of joy and abundance, filled with love, generosity and contribution, integrity is a must. Integrity creates trust and accountability. Surrounded by crowds, you can feel lonely if you're not true to yourself. Without integrity, you can have great wealth and still feel worthless. When we leave things unresolved or incomplete,quite the opposite is true. Wouldn't you agree, we are out of integrity. You can recognize something as incomplete by how you feel about it. Is the matter settled? Do you worry about it? How is it impacting other areas of your life? When you are complete with something you don't even think about it. There is no agitation or energy wasted.
It's up to you to decide if something is incomplete or not, but it's difficult to focus on future dreams when you are consumed by your past. Incompletions can be notorious and contagious as one leads to another. Buried under burdensome annoyances we can feel lost, afraid or confused,the real key to dealing with problems that challenge us daily while seeking peace. Take Jake for instance. He didn't pay his taxes for two years. The IRS put a lien on his assets, so he was labelled a bad credit risk. He couldn't buy a house or rent an apartment. Eventually he lost his credit cards. He was caught in a downward spiral that also undermined his confidence and self esteem.
Linda let her parking tickets pile high and never got around to paying them. She became afraid to drive her car because she might get towed. Concerned about driving to work, she eventually lost her job. A small detail led to a bigger concern, which led to an even worse problem.
Carol had a room in her home that she called the "black hole," filled with incomplete items. Since she and her husband were trying to sell their house, she knew it was time to tackle that project. She came up with a list of over one hundred "items to do." They included returning things she had borrowed, writing letters, even mailing back an inexpensive bracelet she had stolen from her local drug store when she was a teenager. It took some time and effort, but with each item she handled, Carol felt lighter and freer. Within a few weeks of completing her list, they easily sold their house. Completion creates freedom.
First Steps
This powerful process of exploring what's been left unsaid, undone or incomplete in your life is one of the most awesome things you can do to free yourself and have more access to your dreams. If undertaken to the best of your ability, this may be the most profound thing you have ever done.
Look at all these important areas and use this formula as a guide to scrutinize your life. The areas to explore (but are not limited to) include your body, mind, home, work, finance, and people (living and dead).
Write down what you feel incomplete about with anyone or anything.
List what you need to do to complete it.
Complete as many items as possible.
How do you complete something? You may need to write a letter or make a phone call. You may need to forgive someone or just declare "it's over." On some items, you might need to create a project plan or you might not even know yet. Just do your best to get rid of anything that is weighing you down.
Removing clutter will give you greater clarity and energy for the things that are important to you. As you complete what you can, feelings of pride, accomplishment, and peace of mind, can motivate you to take on even the tough things. Free to move forward, now you can tap into the flow of life. The more your life is in order, the faster and easier your ability to manifest dreams will become. It's just that simple.

9 Ways to Motivate Yourself When You Just Don't Feel Like It
Achieving the really big goals and dreams always involves breaking it down into do-able little steps. Assuming that you've picked a goal or dream that you really love working at, then most of the steps are a delight to take. Those pieces of work that we hate doing can be the very ones that sabotage our success. How do you stay motivated during those parts of the journey?
1) Reward yourself. Let's say that I want to lose twenty pounds. That's not too much, but it's still going to involve more days of self discipline that I feel like doing. So, I reward myself with a little treat every time I drop five pounds. I get to have one of my favorite fattening meals at the end of each five pound loss. Then I go back to my diet. At the end, I get to go on a shopping spree to buy new clothes. Come up with a reward that you can use to motivate yourself.
2) Do it for love of someone else. My teenage son proposed a deal that works for both of us. I don't smoke cigarettes and he doesn't experiment with drugs. Every time one of us is about to give in to temptation, our love for each other stops us. I can't light up knowing that he might start doing drugs because I broke our deal. He hates the idea of me dying of cancer, so he never touches any kinds of drugs offered to him by his peers. The love of someone else can motivate you to do what you otherwise might not be able to do for yourself.
3) Trade work with someone else,2010 Scott F Paradis. I've watched my kids perfect this style of motivation. My son will offer to scrub out the showers if my daughter will do the dishes for him. Hiring someone to do the work you don't want to do is actually a form of trade. Barter or pay someone else to do it for you, so that you can continue moving forward with your dreams.
4) Truly consider quitting. I'm not telling you to quit, but to really think about it. If you've got a goal or dream that means a lot to you and you've already invested a large part of yourself into making it happen, then what would quitting feel like? Is avoiding the difficult or distasteful task worth giving up on your goals and dreams? The love of your long-term goal can motivate you not to quit.
5) Share the misery. This reminds me of friends in college getting together to study for an upcoming test. Having friends along can make the experience more festive then it would have been if you were doing it alone. Is there a way to team up with a friend so that the work is easier or at least more enjoyable?
6) Just get it over with. One of my all time favorite quotes about getting past your inner blocks was written by Stuart Wilde in his book The Quickening, "Cut the shit and do the thing." Yeah it's a bit rough, but we all know those stoic tough people who simply roll up their sleeves and dive in know matter how much they may hate the task before them. Take on a soldier's mindset and just get to work doing the ugly parts so you can move on to the more rewarding parts of making your dreams a reality.
7) Get training or education,A few years ago after failed attempts at counseling. Quite often, we don't like doing something because deep down we don't think we know how or that we are talented enough. So, get the education, do the research, learn the necessary skills, or whatever else it is that you need to do to get ready for taking that next step. Once you've properly trained yourself, then you might even be enthusiastic about taking that next step.
8) Take a running start at it. Think of riding your bike uphill. It doesn't take kids very long to figure out that the best way to get that bicycle to the top of the steep hill is to build up a lot of speed before you even get to the base of the hill. You then let that momentum help to propel you most of the way up. Heck, with enough of a running start you can sometimes make it all the way up without any major struggles. If there is a way to pace yourself and reschedule the not so fun parts of accomplishing your goals until after you've completed a bunch of the cool parts, then do so. The highs of your mini successes will help inspire you to push past the parts that you are avoiding.
9) Figure out a different way to do it. This is the supreme way to avoid doing the task all together. Be creative, be smart, think outside the box. Is there any way to make your dream come true without having to actually do the specific duty that you're wanting to avoid? Sometimes you can find another way. Other times, just knowing that there is definitely no other path to your dreams other than the one before you is enough to motivate you to just buck up and get through it.
What's most important is not how you keep yourself motivated but that you keep the long-term benefits of your goals in mind. If you focus too much on avoiding the uncomfortable parts of accomplishing your goals, then you won't accomplish much. Find a way to keep going and remember that all things come with a price. Pay the price so you can get on with enjoying the dream.

Using Conscious Creation To Improve Your Life
You've probably heard the phrase, "Idle hands are the devil's tools" -- meaning if you don't have something to keep you busy, you're likely to get into trouble. That can be argued of course, since the intent to cause trouble probably has to be present also.
However, the concept itself does hold some truth regarding what we create in our lives. If it's true that we get back what we put out (into the universe), then it's easy to see why "idle hands" would be a bad thing for us. Life on this planet is an exercise in creating our own reality. Moment to moment, we are making decisions. Whether we act or don't act, we are putting forth our intent.
Every action has a consequence, either good or bad. Remember the concept, "like attracts like." Imagine that every bit of energy you put out is traveling the universe, gathering similar energy, and eventually being returned right back to you. It makes you think more carefully about what type of energy you are putting out every day, doesn't it? If we do nothing, we get nothing back (or at least nothing very good). Our lives become boring, empty shells. The very act of not moving, not doing, not creating causes stagnation.
Does that mean that as long as we keep busy, we'll have lots of prosperity and joy? Not necessarily. Remember that we need to focus our intent on what we're creating. We need to engage in the act of conscious creation every day, putting out positive, purposeful energy. What we get back is more positive energy, more abundance and more joy.
Conscious creation means thinking about what you want to do with your time, moment to moment. We get up each morning, go to work, come home and lose ourselves in the television for the rest of the night. 12 Ways To Maximize Time And Life
My business experience has taught me one true thing: That maximizing your productivity, happiness, peace, or impact can best be accomplished if you clearly understand the 12 Rules of Time.
1. Have goals
Being more efficient with your time is irrelevant if you don't know how you want to spend it,in fact. In managing time, the compass is more important than the clock. Know where you want to go and spend your time on the things that get you there.
Many people spend energy trying to be more efficient without first doing what's important: setting goals. It's like being lost on your way to a new city. Driving faster doesn't help if you are going in the wrong direction. Figure out what direction to go in and head that way.
Once you've prepared it, your list of goals will reveal what is important to you.
2. Analyze how you spend your time
It is always good to know how you're spending your time right now. You can track this by setting a timer to go off every 15 minutes; whenever it sounds, write down exactly what you are doing. Alternatively, divide your day into 15-minute blocks and record each activity you do.
Once you have your time logs, examine them. How do they compare to your goals? Are you spending time where your priorities are?
3. Keep a to-do list
This sounds too simple, but it really is the basis of all time-management systems. Your to-do list can be electronic, on fancy paper, bound in a notebook or loose-leaf. The key is to have everything you want to accomplish on one list. My to-do list might have a one-line item on it, such as "write annual report," which refers me to a much larger file or even a file box on that item.
4. Prioritize your list

I sometimes find my to-do list is too big. Every item on the list calls out "pay attention to me!", even though most of them weren't highlighted as important. 5. Control procrastination
I use a number of tricks to break any lingering tendencies to procrastinate. For instance, I happen to like having a hard copy of my digital to-do list. I reprint it every few days as new items are added and completed ones dropped. It is at these times that I look for the items that I've marked as high priority, but which are just not getting done.
People often say I have great self-control. In truth, though, much of it is environment control. I control my environment to eliminate things that I might use to procrastinate. Take games off your computer, for example, sell your TV, and get rid of the busywork jobs that you use to avoid the important tasks.
I have developed one effective habit that has helped break me of procrastination: "Do the worst thing first." At the beginning of every day, I do the one task that is causing me the most stress, and that I haven't been getting done. Sometimes I just give it a quarter of an hour — based on the theory that I can stand just about anything for 15 minutes. Frequently it is this short thrust that breaks me through.
If I still find myself procrastinating, I review my reasons for setting a goal. To create extra motivation to complete a task, I strengthen the reasons why it should be done. Similarly, many people reward themselves for completing a job.
6. Organize
Organization and time management are linked. I find that I get important things done when I have all the tools I need to perform the job.
The opposite of organization — chaos, clutter, disorganization — generally leads to busy work. If your desk is piled high, every piece of paper says "look at me." You can end up doing a lot of work without ever getting to the important stuff.
7. Delegate
One way to expand your time is to get others to help you with it. The key to delegation is to hand off any tasks that someone else can do significantly faster or more easily than you can.
If you're protesting that you don't have anyone working directly for you to whom you can delegate tasks, no problem. Consider delegating to a peer, a superior, a supplier, or even a customer. Treat delegation like networking: who in your network would be best for the job?
In some cases you will need to invest up-front to train someone so he or she can take over a task from you. The long-term savings are usually worth the up-front time and costs.
After delegation, remember to thank appropriately. You might think people would resent being delegated to, but exactly the opposite is true. People like to be asked, especially if it is to do something that they're good at.
8. Master efficiency tricks
The best trick I have found is "The Power of While." What can you do while you drive? While you walk? While you clean? While you watch TV? I am a huge audio tape advocate and frequently listen to tapes while I am doing something else.
Being a techno person, I love all the organization software out there that allows me to keep my contacts, to-do lists and appointments. I also use gadgets such as cellphones, wireless e-mail, and personal digital assistants. Good use of technology can save you valuable time.
9. It's OK to say no
Saying "No" can be the most powerful time tool you can master. When someone asks you to do something, ask yourself how important this is. Does it help you achieve your goals? Is this a task you would be better at than most people? Don't always look for reasons to get out of things, but be strategic about what you take on.
This doesn't mean that I always say no when asked to help out. But if I do say no, I am always polite and tactful, and try to suggest someone else who would do the job well.

Committing 100% focus and concentration on one task at a time can be very powerful,By this. Eliminate distractions. Focus on the task. When you're properly organized and prepared, when your energy and power are high, you can often complete a task in 20% of the time it would take when you're distracted or open to interruption.

I also believe meditation can be a great way of building your efficiency. It could be transcendental meditation, Zen, or just finding a way to get into a relaxed state that lets you focus on the task you have to do. No matter how you do it, recharging your batteries gives you the power to do more during the times you need to be at your best.
12. Take care of yourself
It isn't possible to be "on" all the time. Take the time you need to look after yourself — body and soul — so that you can reach peak efficiency when you need to. Have a list of things you like to do. Find out what activities energize you, and spend more time doing them. This will give you the power and energy to be more productive when you return to work.

This is something I recall from memory,Too often, as life delivers such heavy blows. Where did this wonderful feeling go? Where did it go all at once? The sense of invulnerability. The feeling that nothing else matters except right here; right now. I can not recall the minute, the hour, nor the day it was lost, but, before I knew it, it was gone. Replaced by things I had not known. Things like worry, anxiety, pain, bills and all the cares this world has to offer.
Talk about HELL, these emotions are residents of HELL, if not residents, perhaps, frequent visitors. Unfortunately, somehow, some way, I was attached to them with seemingly no escape. Everyday seemed to be a trip around the same old block of familiarity, every so often venturing off and leaving my troubles behind to find this place of refuge and catch a glimpse of the carefree life I once knew. This glimpse to me was salvation, however, it was only temporary.
We all yearn for the place where innocence, joy and promise reside. Love is our Home, accompanied by Peace, Joy, Happiness and Faith. This is the home I had known before, yet, at some point strayed away. Journeying through life, searching, yearning for this place again. But who can take my hand and guide me back? Who can provide me directions to return? Must I search alone or is there someone who could show me the way?
For I had not fallen in Love with Hell, as many often do. Escape was my desire, because this was not my home. But, hell can not be abandoned without some form of altercation. Escape is not easy, because the RED SEA of life is at hand and Pharoah's Army shall surely pursue. These obstacles represent the things you must overcome and the things that have kept you bond, as well as the temptation to go back. For Hell has many pleasures for the flesh to overcome. But, your desire and your need to forgive will lead you to the path of FREEDOM,A calling is who you are..
Home is not out of reach now, but first, the Wilderness is at hand,and get more sleep. Just as the manna had fell from Heaven and provided food for the Jews, the Wilderness is a place of provision and recovery, yet, this is not your final destination. Temptation and doubt are in the wilderness. Temptation to turn back to Hell, because of the memory of pleasures past. Doubtful of reaching the place you yearn, because of the Giants that possess the Land. Who are these Giants, except figments of our imaginations, destroyed by our faith and belief in accomplishing our desired end. Forty years in the wilderness is a long time, yet it is True Self....we seek.

Actually your life does not look so great lately. You hope to finally be able to catch your breath at home but again there you find your spouse, who is as overstressed as you are and you find your extremely demanding kids, who help you to remember that they live in the same house, too. Even when you think you could possibly get rid off the feeling through your favourite sport you notice that this too does not help, because you simply feel too miserable. You can feel yourself sinking into a miserable state. The state in which all your motivation to go on is dying. You can not remember what "joy of life" means. You slowly get close to a depression, but you keep on saying to yourself that "one day you'll get over it".
At the same time you see other people having a great time and you start wondering why it is so much easier for you to fall into depression. Why is it so difficult to stay happy? Why do these periods of joy disappear so quickly and why do these times of depression last so long?

Did you know that our brain releases chemicals in our blood that support our moods? Well, that's exactly what's happening! You attract whatever it is that you focus on. In other words by thinking about the things that make you feel depressed, you make yourself more depressed.
The reversed is just as true. If you would spend as much time thinking about pleasant things as that you spend thinking about depressive things, guess what you would attract in your life? Exactly! You would attract Joy! And if you would focus on the things that bring joy into your life, you would attract more joy and you would be able to maintain that state of joy.
Of course this is not about denying what's going on in your life. You would need to see the things for what they really are.
Sure this colleague is bootlicking your boss, sure you get more and more work and sure you have kids that ask for a massive amount of attention.
But does all this need to become the focal point of every thought that passes?
You could find your colleague's attitude amusing and continue to keep up with your own good work and become more pro active about it. The fact that all this work comes to you could also be seen as a compliment somehow.
Isn't this a matter of either setting better boundaries or to become more efficient with your work or time?
And for as far as your children are concerned; have you tried to approach this with some humour? Or you could sift out some books about parenting or find parents with the same type of problems and speak to them. Experiment with a number of different approaches. It also helps to think back at your own youth once in a while. After all you grew up okay, did not you?
Getting into a state of joy is easy and staying there is easy. And believe me, this is not easier said than done. It is scientifically proven,the god of the generals and the symbol of masculinity.
It is the will to choose how we look at the situations in our lives and it is a matter of choice whether we focus on joy or on the negative things that bring us down.

You could lie down, sit cross legged, or even be walking as you meditate; anything that induces an atmosphere where you can both relax and concentrate.
Ensure that your back is straight and that your muscles are not tense or uncomfortable. But, don't become so relaxed that you fall asleep, because this is a different mind state.
You should dress in very loose, comfortable, baggy clothing that does not constrict you in any way. Many expert meditators barely cover themselves at all; maybe just with a loin cloth.
The environment for your meditation should also be peaceful, pleasant, soothing and relaxing. It could be your favourite room in the house, or in your garden, or even in a warm bath,or a lottery win all of it accumulates in one place. Similarly.
Should you be a bit more advanced in your meditation journey, you could consider using an exercise mat. Some people even have a favourite meditation chair. A good meditation technique is to calm your mind and then to quietly, without speaking, only thinking it, name each part of your body, progressively focussing your consciousness on them in succession. You'll find it works very well to mentally visualise each body part as becoming completely relaxed, and without any tension. Some people visualise the tension flowing out of them like a soft flowing stream.
